Step 1 – Measure Carpet & Underlay Thickness
 
 

Pin Test
Conducting a ‘Pin Test’ helps you to determine the thickness of your carpet AND underlay, enabling you to select the correct Marbig chairmat.
1. Push a pin into the carpet and the underlay until you are unable to push any further. 2. Mark the pin with a marker where the pin meets the top of the carpet. 3. Remove the pin and measure the distance between the tip of the pin and the mark on the pin. This will give you the thickness of the carpet AND underlay
